Disruption to ornamental gardens &
lawned areas,
Sinkage to slabbed areas due to
tunnelling,
Can cause surface stability & trip hazards
where tunnels break ground surface.
Life Cycle:
Mating period February to June with 1
litter per year,
Young generally leave nest at 5
weeks old.
Life Style:
Active just after sunrise & just before sunset,
Feeds upon earth worms & invertebrates,
Do not like water logged areas of soil.
Control Method(s):
Trapping,
Chemical intervention.
